Trails Around Bozeman

Bozeman is home to some of the best riding in Montana. If your into ripping downhill runs or long epic rides then Bozeman is for you!! Stop in and pick-up one of the many trail maps offered for our area.

Sypes

One of the classic local rides. Trail starts off with a steep and technical climb that will test even the most seasoned riders. From there the trail takes you back through the trees eventually bringing you up to a look out point. From this point on there is a spectacular view of the entire valley. Continuing up, the trail turns rocky with a few fun technical sections. One of the first to thaw in the spring as well.

This trail is currently under a trail share program, please stop in and check for what days bike are allowed.

Middle Cottonwood

Arguably the most technical ride in the area. Downhillers and experienced riders will love the gnar rock gardens and the tight single track that make you feel like your riding something from one of your favorite bike movies. A top choice for anyone looking for a challenging and ridiculously fun trail.

Garnett

Fast, flowy and SCARY. The trail isn't overly technical, but where this trail earns its SCARY reputation is for its XXX rated exposure. (OK NO, there are not scantily clad mountain people along the trail). Along several parts of the trail, especially near the top, the tight single track slices across some nearly vertical slopes. Its a "no fall zone" for sure. Aside from the few white knuckled sections the trail is ripping fast with quite a few flowy sections. It also offers some amazing views of the Gallatin Mountains. A great ride!

History Rock

Offering a shuttle option and an alternative view of Bozeman and Hylite lake area. The trail offers a little of everything from buff mellow singletrack, steep rocky sections and roller coaster sections.

Blackmore

Emerging evidence has shown that ripping Blackmore provides mountain bikers with the essential nutrients adrenaline and roots... Blackmore is very "rooty" especially for Montana. It is also steep with a few rocky sections thrown in the mix. Experienced riders and downhillers will love this trail. Due to its location it has snow on it fairly late into the season.

Bracket Creek

Bracket Creek can be done in just about any way you want shuttle, loop, out and back or BIG LOOP (as Bangtail Divide Trail). This is the northern section of the Bangtail Divide Trail. The best part... FIVE miles of glorious singletrack from the top. Complete with every kind of corner you can imagine. Flowly, jumpy and fast. Everyone from the beginner to the seasoned vet will enjoy this trail. Epic ride accompanied by epic views for this entire trail.

Leverich

Berms, Berms, Berms... Super flowy trail with... you guessed it more berms than you can shake your bike at. Leverich will be enjoyed by all levels of riders from the beginner to the seasoned pro. Roughly four miles when done as a loop and one of the first trails to thaw out in the spring. A local favorite and Bozeman's first mountain bike specific trail.

Shafthouse

Epic out and back ride with incredible views. Trail begins with the tight single track through wide open grassy fields. It has a couple of up-down sections before it turns into a long climb that takes you through everything the Bridgers have to offer. Finally peaking out above the tree-line the upper part of the trail is steep and rocky. One of the areas best rides

Truman

A local hotspot. Known for its swoopy flowy and technical sections with some fun corners. Early season there are creek crossings and a water fall at the top if you make it all the way to the top. Late season the undergrowth makes it feel like your riding through a jungle.
